Director of Information Technology

Greensboro Montessori School is looking for a Director of Information Technology to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems.

The successful candidate will have proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of the computer industry’s best practices, including a thorough knowledge of Mac and PC operating systems.

Troubleshooting, critical thinking, communication and customer service skills are paramount, and this person must enjoy being around children.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Design and carry out staff and student training programs
  • Maintain network access for all users
  • Maintain the check-out and check-in system for laptops for student use
  • Ensure student laptop computers have sufficient firewall protections in place
  • Troubleshoot as necessary for staff and students
  • Monitor current and potential marketplace developments and provide recommendations about future planning and development of resources
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Manage service and maintenance of printers, copy machines and telephone system

    Early Morning CASA Teacher

    Greensboro Montessori School is is currently looking for an early morning CASA teacher to work in a supportive and an invigorating school community. The successful candidate will be directly supervising children from ages six to 15 years of age.

    Our early morning CASA teachers are expected to be role models and actively engage with our students, who arrive at school anytime between 7:30 a.m. until class begins at 8:15 a.m. We do not expect the successful candidate to be on campus more than 1 hour.

    The purpose of this position is to ensure and that all students are occupied until they are escorted to class.

    This is a fun job and requires somebody who likes to be around children, is welcoming and nurturing, and has a sense of humor.

    Substitute Teachers
