Online Giving

As the Director of Marketing and Development, I am honored to be part of the wonderful spirit and community that the Greensboro Montessori School represents. Despite the difficult economic climate, our school continues to flourish and grow with your generous help and support.

Like all independent schools, GMS relies on tuition as it’s main source of revenue. However, tuition only provides approximately 95% of the cost of each child’s education, and the funding raised during Phase I of our Vision 2020 Campaign is a critical part of our non-profit framework and helps to bridge the gap between our fixed income and operating expenses, in addition to funding much needed updates to our facility, financial aid, resources for our environmental education programs, student enrichment programs and professional development for our faculty and staff. Last year, your gifts to the GMS Annual Fund helped to provide need-based financial aid, fund the construction of sleeping structures at the Land Lab, and professional development for our outstanding faculty and staff.

It is our goal to have 100% participation from the entire GMS community in our Vision 2020 Campaign. Strong community participation is viewed as an excellent indicator of our loyalty to GMS and our future success. A high participation rate provides important leverage as we strive to seek outside funding from corporate sponsors and when we apply for grants from private foundations. Your participation really does make a difference, no matter what the amount, large or small. We understand that these are difficult times for everyone and greatly appreciate everything you do to support our school through your financial gifts, your time and expertise and your belief in the Montessori way. Your gift to the Vision 2020 Campaign will help insure that GMS will continue to provide an unsurpassed Montessori education, nurturing a love of learning and inspiring tomorrow’s global citizens for generations to come.
