Montessori School
Parent Teacher Connection (PTC)
Joining in the work of the school is an actively
observed tradition at GMS, where the involvement
of families is essential to the School’s vitality and success.
Every parent with a student enrolled in the School and all faculty
members are automatically
members of the Parent Teacher Connection (PTC).
The mission of the PTC is to facilitate communication among all members
of the GMS community, to enrich the educational
atmosphere of GMS with PTC sponsored
special events and donations, to coordinate volunteers to assist the faculty,
staff and students of the school and to raise funds to support the PTC activities.
All parents and faculty are encouraged to become active in the PTC. Each year,
the parents receive a questionnaire and are asked to indicate ways in which they
would like to lend their skills and talents to support the functions,
programs and activities that make up the varied life
of the School.
The PTC General Meetings are the first Monday of every month, at 8:45 AM. The
meetings are held in the School Conference Room located on the second floor of
the Administration Building. Our first meeting will be September 13, 2004 at
8:45 a.m. Individual committees meet at various times depending on the schedules
of the members. Please join us anytime!
