Jillian Crone was appointed Director of Marketing and Development in 2016. As a career marketing professional, Jillian provides an exciting level of strategic planning, marketing, brand development and public relations expertise for Greensboro Montessori School. "I am excited to apply my talents to a new cause, one that promises transformative opportunities to the Greensboro Montessori School’s current and future student populations,” says Jillian.
Jillian graduated summa cum laude from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. with a bachelor's degree in advertising and a concentration in multi-media design. She spent the early years of her career marketing video games for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, then left "Hollywood" to put down roots and start a family in her native Greensboro. She brings a tremendous wealth of experience from her recent eight-year tenure as 1st Vice President and Director of Marketing for NewBridge Bank.
Jillian is active in her support for the local Greensboro community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Greensboro Children's Museum where she is co-chair of their Capital Campaign Marketing Committee. In 2014, she co-chaired a fundraising event for Triad Stage, and she is also a member of the Greensboro Sports Council. In February of 2016, Jillian was distinguished by the Triad Business Journal and recognized as a recipient of their award "40 Leaders Under 40."
Many at Greensboro Montessori School may know her as the mother of Kent and Winnie who are enrolled in the School's Primary and All-Day Toddler classes, respectively. Her connection to Montessori education runs deep, as she also attended Montessori preschool as a young child.
